Getting Rid of a Criminal Record (Expungement)
The practice has seen a dramatic increase in clients wishing to take advantage of opportunities to wipe out their criminal records. “Expunge” means to “eliminate completely”. In law, it is technically called an application to set aside conviction. If you have your conviction expunged, you can honestly tell employers that you have a clean criminal record. Eliminating your criminal record often makes it much easier to get housing and credit. If you have a criminal record, you know of many instances in which your life is harder. If you can get your record expunged, the law treats you in most cases as if you never had been convicted.
